On to Market Bosworth

Last evening Mark the electrician turned up as our power manger wasn't working correctly, which thanks to him is now working, so cheers Mark if you are reading this blog.

So back to today, awoke early by a bl@@dy crowing cockerel , could of strangled him, but didn't so  we  then left our mooring and passed the town of Hinckley , we didn't stop but plan to on the return leg, so will tell you some facts at a later date. The canal is so nice with open farmlands stretching to the distance horizon, we pass a few more villages before mooring at Market Bosworth.

Whilst cruising we came pass these unusual donkeys the look like cows. Also we saw a unusual bird, a Nuthatch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuthatch

Assmoos.

Market Bosworth is a pretty little 18-C village, the battle of Bosworth which ended the War of Roses was reputed to take place South of the village, but uncertainty as to the right battlefield is being questioned.

We took a walk to the village had a beer in the local pub, and did a bit of food shopping before returning to the boat at the visitor mooring for the night. construction of a new marina is being developed at this part of the canal.
