Awaiting the predicted storm

We leave our mooring at Enysham and go through the lock, as we are up quite early their not a sole on the river and in parts is like a mill pond.We are only doing a short journey today as the weather forecast isn't good,so we have decided that we go back onto the Oxford  canal and moor up and replenish our provisions.
One part of our journey takes us on a part of the waterway system which we haven't done as yet,"Dukes Cut" a small little tributary that links the Oxford Canal and the River Thames together.as we reach this part the heavens open and the rain starts hammering down, luckily for us it's not a long journey to our overnight mooring. Denise has to operate two swing bridges which are not her favourites and one lock before we moor up.

About an two hours later the rain stops and we decide to pay a visit to the shops which are a short walk away to restock the fridge and cupboards. As we return the sun comes out and it's scorching can't believe its the same day, Denise cleans the inside of the boat and then we chill for the afternoon and evening . And that was the storm, hardly anything at all, another useless weather forecast.
