Another sunny morning greets us as we set of from our overnight mooring,we go through Sonning lock and now the river passes numerous little island some with houses situated on them, it then passes Wargrave whose church was burnt down in 1914, by suffragettes, some say it was because the vicar refused to take the word 'obey' out if the marriage service.
Again we pass mansions and large houses that grace the Thames, and the we arrive at today's mooring Henley on Thames, we moor by a park which is quite busy with people enjoying the sunshine.
Every first week in July the Henley regatta takes place http://www.hrr.co.uk/ , Henley is an attractive town with plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants , wine bars and coffee shops. We pay a visit to the local shops and top up on provisions and as the last few day we return to the boat and people watch.
